How to really confuse your party guests.

At last, here's the pictorial exposé of that picture of a rather normal-looking room i posted a few weeks ago. To recap: here's that normal-looking room —

And here are its creators.Collapse )

A nice shot of the ceiling.Collapse )

Some photos of various people enjoying the room.Collapse )

How to Defy Gravity in Ten Easy Steps.Collapse )

The whole thing took two days (one day for painting, one day for arranging everything else). Hope you enjoyed this as much as we did. This project really made me want to do crazy art installations for a living.

not original or creative

but the party was fun im sure

Just awesome, man. Fantastic.
A friend of mine linked to your very nifty pics and (beyond how cool a party theme/trick that is) what struck me is that your friend in picture #2 looks JUST LIKE MY BROTHER. But my brother lives in China, and your party seems to have taken place on a university campus in the USA.

I'll be totally amazed if you say yes, but is your partner in crime there an American named Steve who lives in China?

Hi - I live in England and actually saw exactly the same thing done in a student art show in Sheffield about 8 or 9 years ago. I remember feeling really dizzy looking at it.

There was also one of those little battery-controlled yapping dog things which someone had dis-embowelled, and they had spread chopped liver all over the floor, spilling out of its stomach. It lay there yapping and dripping blood... It was quite a show!

Rock on... Saw this in my RSS feed. They never would have allowed us to do it at Marquette.

well, i must say you've done a good job, though i've seen this trick before (first time - in montreal in 1997 i think, and the room was tilted, which creates a still different effect - vEry strange to walk through). But very nice, clean approach. I wonder how it would be to start living there?
