On my way to Africa.

I'm going to be in Africa for the next three weeks. SuperShuttle insisted on getting me to the airport three hours before my flight even though the first flight is domestic, so I have some time to think (sleepily) about what I might find there, and to worry about whether I've forgotten to pack anything essential.

I've never set foot in Africa before; the entire continent is unknown to me. I'm terribly excited to learn about a new part of the world, even if it's only a small part of it. I'm landing in Nairobi, and spending time in Kenya and Zambia with some fellow Google employees to research some possible projects we might do there for After the first two weeks, I part ways with them and head to the Serengeti in the hope of seeing the Great Migration.
