Security and politics.

Ron Rivest has proposed a simpler method for end-to-end-verifiable voting (by end-to-end, i mean any voter can check that the votes were counted correctly). It doesn't require lots of math; it can just be done on paper. I wrote some comments about it over at Usable Security.

On a more serious note, this is Iraq, by the numbers. Why aren't these numbers on all the front pages? At least San Francisco has a measure to impeach the president on the ballot this November.
