Subject:My dad's inventions.

My dad has a thing for building inexplicable contraptions. It must be the engineer in my genes.

This is our front yard in Winnipeg.

The bucket, which is full of bricks, is supposed to keep the tree branches from sagging too low. I still haven't figured out the mirror yet.

This is the television in our living room.

The receiver box is mounted on a rack constructed from a wire coat-hanger.

The remote controls all used to be wrapped in plastic wrap, too, before they got the new TV.

This is the cutlery drawer in the kitchen.

The little yellow things are tiny tiny labels that say "SS" "FK" "LS" "KN".

You know what? Come to think of it... my dad has never used Unix in his life, but he'd be a natural.
